Victoria & David's Wedding at Ufton Court

The "Morse" Jag was out again this weekend to take Victoria to her wedding to David. The car picked Victoria up from The Royal Oak in the lovely village of Yattendon (had a pleasant stay here myself a couple of years back). Yattendon is very close to Mike Robinson's Pot Kiln in Frilsham which is a great pub and restaurant. I digress, the wedding ceremony was held at Ufton Court, an Elizabethan Manor house in the village of Ufton Nervet. As is customary, driver George waited for the ceremony so the newly weds could have some photos with the car afterwards.

Bethan & Alex at Bearwood College

The Jaguar and Daimler were both in service at Bethan and Alex's wedding in Earley this weekend. The Daimler conveyed the Bridesmaids and Bride's Mother while the Jaguar was chosen as the Bridal car. The  couple enjoyed a short drive to relax with a glass of Champagne before heading on to the reception which was at Bearwood College in Wokingham.

Charity Car Rally

We are not really into the "classic car scene" and don't normally attend car shows or rallies but this weekend was different. Local resident and classic car enthusiast, Chris Bidgood,  organised a rally of 40 classic cars at his home in Britwell Salome near Watlington. Once gathered the cars drove to the home of Dick Skipworth and his Ecurie Ecosse motor collection. The event raised £1620 for Cystic Fibrosis Charity and the attendees got to show off their cars and enjoy a picnic in the sun.

Hannah and Neil's Hambleden Wedding

We were back in the picturesque village of Hambleden for Hannah and Neil's wedding, one of three on this beautiful hot summer's day. After taking the Bridesmaids to the church, the Daimler returned to Stowe Farm B&B in Marlow (which has some great views over the surrounding area) to collect Hannah. Following the ceremony the couple and their guests walked over to the Village Hall for tea before continuing on to the Odney Club in Cookham. The guests followed in a lovely old Routemaster London bus.

Thanks to Hannah and Neil for the 5 Star review they left for us.

Rare outing for the "Morse" Jag

Although not part of our in house fleet, from time to time we can offer a Jaguar MK2 painted in Regency Red with Black roof as was the famous MK2 used in the Inspector Morse series. This car does have limited availability so if you are interested in it please call or email us.
This weekend it provided transport for Joanna and Mathew's wedding in East Hagbourne. After a photo stop at Wittenham Clumps, they travelled to Millets Farm Centre in Frilford for the reception.

Alice and Chris' Wedding at Old Luxters

Old Luxters Barn near Hambleden is a popular wedding venue, we are there several times a year. Although this is a wedding and reception venue we still wait for the ceremony so that the Bride and Groom can have some photos with the car when they emerge. This is part of our single venue wedding hire package. One perk for the driver is that while waiting there is an excellent beer and wine shop selling goods produced by Chiltern Valley Winery and Brewery which shares the site. I can recommend their sparkling wine which is better than many Champagnes.
This weekend in scorching heat we drove Alice and her mum in the Jaguar MK2 from Stokenchurch to Luxters for Alice's wedding to Chris. They had the photo session with the car before enjoying drinks in the gardens with their guests.

Gypsophila in Richmond

Once or twice a year we are booked for weddings in West London, this is about as far into the capital we normally go. This weekend we were in sunny Richmond in the Jaguar MK2, picking up Nicola from the riverside boutique Bingham hotel to take her to Grove House via Richmond Park for her marriage to Chris. Nicola arranged for some additional decoration on the car in the form of white Gypsophila.
