Last Wedding of 2013 Season
The Jag was the chosen car for our last wedding of the season. We were in Finchampstead for Stephanie and Ben's wedding where their marriage ceremony was held at the village parish church. After photos at the church we drove across country to the rural venue Bury Court Barn in Bentley near Farnham Surrey.

We are taking bookings for the 2014 season and bookings are up on last year already so to avoid disappointment be sure to contact us early to ensure you get the car and date that you want.

Much Confetti at Stuart and Juliana's Wedding
Stuart and Juliana booked our Silver Grey Jaguar MK2 for their wedding in Twyford this weekend. We collected Juliana from the Cantley House Hotel in nearby Wokingham and drove her to St Thomas More Church in Twyford. The couple returned to Cantley House where the reception was held.
In this business we are used to vacuuming the cars on return to base as they collect a lot of confetti at most weddings but Stuart and Juliana's wins the title of the wedding producing most confetti in the car 2013. Not that I am complaining as it keeps yours truly and my Dyson in gainful employment.

Natalie and Pete Renew Their Marriage Vows
We were in the pretty village of Hampstead Norreys, West Berkshire this weekend where Natalie and Pete renewed their marriage vows in the village church. To the casual observer it looked like a regular wedding with the Daimler, a photographer and bell ringers in attendance. We took the Bridesmaids to the church before returning for Pete and Natalie. Afterwards they held a lunch in nearby Yattendon at the Royal Oak.

A Real Morse in our Jag
Morse
Our Morse look-a-like Jaguar was booked by bride Catherine as a surprise for her husband to be Peter for their wedding in Henley. Catherine was very specific about the car she wanted as Peter's surname is Morse and he is a fan of the TV series. We picked Catherine up from Danesfield House Hotel near Marlow. The wedding was held at the hidden Holy Trinity Church in Henley then it was back to Danesfield with a happy Peter for the reception.

Only two weeks after our last visit we were back at Barton House and Lain's Barn, this time in the Daimler for Ruth and Martin's wedding. The family stayed at Barton House which is very close to the barn. I got to see a bit more of the inside this time. It is definitely worthy of being on the list for anyone looking for exclusive use accommodation in the Wantage area. After dressing cars in Ruth's choice of Burgundy ribbons we drove to St Margaret's Church in Stratton St Margaret near Swindon for the wedding. Their reception was held at Lain's Barn.

Boat Transfer
The Silver Grey MK2 was also working at the weekend providing transport for Judith and Ian's wedding in Warborough. The Jag made several trips from nearby Shillingford and Wallingford to take the wedding party and Bride to St Laurence's Church. After photos we drove the newlyweds to Cleeve Lock near Streatley where they picked up a boat to take them to the reception.

Lains Barn Wedding
Our Jaguar MK2 returned to Lains Barn again this weekend for Emily and Dennis' wedding.
The Jag was booked to make several trips to and from the venue. We picked up Groom Dennis and his Best Man from a local hotel and got them to the barn first. The Jag then made the short drive to Barton House in East Lockinge where Emily and other members of the wedding party were staying. Barton House is a beautiful country pile that looks like it has been recently extensively refurbished and was thoroughly recommended by Emily's Mum and the Bridesmaids who we drove over to Lains Barn next.
After returning for Emily and her Dad we waited for the ceremony before heading back to Barton House with the photographer for photos with the car and in the grounds of the house. Once these were done they rejoined their guests at Lains Barn for the reception.

Riverside Wedding
The Jag didn't have to travel too far for Alex and Peter's wedding this weekend, making two trips from Henley to the riverside church in Remenham. The car wasn't needed for the short journey to the Remenham Club for the reception as the couple traveled by boat. We did wait for the ceremony to complete so that Alex and Peter could have some pictures with the car before taking the short walk to join the boat.

Marylebone Wedding
The Jag was in West London this weekend for Victoria and Richard's wedding at St James' Church, Marylebone, W1.
We picked Victoria and her Mum up from the Olde Bell in Hurley near Henley for the drive into London. We were extremely lucky to get a parking spot just outside the church where the Jag waited until the newly weds emerged for the return journey to Hurley for the reception. The guests were transported from Hurley and back in two old Routemaster buses, a popular choice for guest transport these days.

This Weekend's Brides
A very wet Saturday was the backdrop for Charlotte and Geraint's wedding at Holy Trinity Church in Prestwood, High Wycombe. Charlotte's father is headmaster at a nearby prep school and lives in the headmaster's house (surprise surprise) where we collected the bride to be. The reception was held at the school and they booked our Daimler for the journey to the church and back.

Meanwhile in Wheatley near Oxford the Jaguar was the transport of choice for Clare and Jonathan's wedding. The rain had cleared by this point and we made two trips to the nearby St Mary's church, one for the bridesmaids then we drove Clare and her father. After the formalities and photos we drove across country to Steventon House Hotel near Abingdon for the reception.

June and Darren's Wedding in Abingdon
The Daimler returned to Oxford this weekend to collect Bride June from Wolvercote for the journey to Abingdon for her marriage to Darren. The ceremony was held at Trinity Church, a church we have done a few weddings at now. After the wedding and photos we took the champagne sipping newlyweds for a short drive around town then down the road that runs alongside the Thames before arriving at the riverside Upper Reaches hotel where the reception was held.

Weekend of Weddings
A busy weekend started on Friday with Michael and Kathryn's wedding in Marlow. They booked the Jaguar for the Bridal car and the Daimler for the Bridesmaids. The location made for some nice pictures as did the reception venue, Bix Manor.
Then onto Saturday. The Daimler was in Oxford at Oriel College for Alex and Paul's wedding who held their reception at the family home in Headington. The Jaguar was in Kidmore End for Naval Groom Adam's marriage to Katharine. Maintaining a nautical theme we dropped them off at Leander in Henley where they made the last leg of the journey to their reception at Temple Island by boat. Last but no means least the Morse Jag was also in Henley for Phil and Holly's wedding in the Town Hall. They then traveled to the Crooked Billet in Stoke Row for their reception.

African Safari Honeymoon
Charlotte and Tom were married at the local church to the family home in Midgham, Berkshire this weekend.
Charlotte's father Steve who is a Jaguar fan and drives an XK8, booked our Silver Grey Jaguar MK2 for the occasion. After the ceremony at the village church we drove them back to Steve's house where the reception was held in a large and beautifully decorated marquee in the garden.
The Jaguar returned later in the evening to take the newlyweds to their hotel in Reading where they spent the night before leaving on their honeymoon the next day. Charlotte's parents provided some suitably themed cushions and car rugs for the journey to Reading.
On Sunday afternoon the Jag collected Charlotte and Tom from their hotel and drove them to Heathrow to catch their flight to South Africa.
In the meantime the Daimler and Morse look-alike Jaguar MK2 provided transport for Mikala and James' wedding in Crowmarsh Gifford. Unfortunately badly timed downpours restricted photo opportunities.

Jag for the Bridesmaids at Silchester Wedding
We were in Hampshire this weekend in the old walled Roman town of Silchester for the wedding of Laura and Chris. Laura had chosen a White Rolls Royce as the Bridal car but wanted to ensure her three Bridesmaids also arrived in style. Laura chose Ivory ribbons and provided a floral display for the rear shelf of the Jag. This is an option we have accommodated a number of times, if you would like to add this to your wedding car please contact us first as the shelf is quite narrow and we can give you the correct dimensions to ensure it fits.

The wedding was at 12th century St Mary the Virgin Church built within the old town walls. The area attracts a lot of visitors due to the roman excavations and it's attractive rural location.
After photos in the grounds we drove the wedding party to Mill House in Swallowfield near Reading for the reception.

Our Jag in Art Film
As well as providing wedding transport this weekend our Jaguar MK2 has been making an appearance in an Art Movie produced for Brockman's Gin.
The Jag in an alley close to Tower Bridge |
The film is shot in black & white with a sinister feel and unusual characters throughout. The Jaguar features in a number of scenes relating to what appears to be the kidnapping of a young man by a group of gangsters. He is driven through the dark iconic streets of London to a shadowy warehouse to meet his fate.

We spent two nights around Tower Bridge and at a Studio in North West London finishing in the early hours only to rise again early to prep the Jag for Katie and Henk's wedding in Wargrave.
The film should be on Brockman's web site and YouTube around November time and we will be adding a link to it from our web site. You can see some behind the scenes pictures on Brockman's Blog.

Emma and Patrick's Wedding in Yattendon
Bride Emma had no problems deciding which shoes to wear for her wedding to Patrick this weekend. As head of PR for Jimmy Choo it was a simple choice. The booking came as a result of a recommendation from a wedding we did in Ewelme earlier this year. We picked Emma up from Chaddleworth in the Jaguar MK2 for the 30 minute drive to Yattendon. A lovely little village with a good hotel, brewery and very handy for Mike Robinson's restaurant, the Pot Kiln.
Ours wasn't the only Jaguar in attendance, the guests included Prime Minister, David Cameron and his wife Samantha and his Prime Ministerial Jaguar XJ was also there. The service was held at the Church of St Peter & St Paul and it was a 2 minute drive to the nearby reception location.
