This Week's Weddings

Another high mileage weekend with weddings in Newbury, Bicester and a little closer to home in Maidenhead.

The weekend began on Friday where Sandra and Adam were married in the West Berkshire village of Yattendon. Sandra and her father travelled to the church in a horse and carriage with the Jag taking mum and the bridesmaids. After the ceremony they travelled to the village centre in the carriage then transferred to the Jag and a glass of Champagne for the journey to Newbury Manor Hotel.

Two weddings on Saturday, the Jag travelled to Bicester for Verity and Gareth's wedding in the charming village of Bucknell. The reception was at Bignall Park Hotel near Bicester.
The Daimler picked Bride Jenny up from Farnham Common to drive her to Lillebrooke Manor in Maidenhead where she married James. The reception was also held there so the car waited for the ceremony so the couple could have photos with it afterwards.

Four Weddings and ...an Evening Run

All three cars were busy this weekend. The Silver Grey MK2 was in Oxford for Tim and Deborah's wedding at Harris Manchester College. Deborah stayed the night before at the Coach and Horses B&B on St Clements, Oxford. We have picked up twice from there this year, the lady who runs it is always charming making sure she has photos of the bride with the car for her Facebook page.

In Henley the Old English White Daimler had collected bride to be Anna from the Crowne Plaza in Caversham for her wedding to Ross in Henley. The couple held their reception at nearby Shiplake College. The Daimler returned in the evening to take them back to Caversham.

Vineyards and Barns

This weekend Mark & Sarah's wedding had a vineyard theme as Sarah stayed at Luxters B&B, which is on a vineyard, the night before the wedding. Following the ceremony at Henley Town Hall their reception was held at Stanlake Vineyard in Twyford. They travelled in the Daimler.

Rebecca and Christopher booked the Jaguar MK2 for their wedding at Windsor Guildhall. The car attracted the tourist cameras while waiting outside. After the ceremony we drove to the Long Walk for photos before heading over to Saxons Barn on the outskirts of Windsor.

Traditional Wedding in Cumnor and Intimate Wedding in Henley

Contrasting weddings this weekend. Alex and Oliver went for a traditional church wedding in the Oxford village of Cumnor. Alex booked the Jaguar to make a total of four trips to the church. The reception was in the hall next to the church but the car waited until the ceremony was over so the couple could have some photos with the car before the short walk next door.

Over in Henley, Harry and Marisa opted for a lovely low-key wedding. The Daimler picked them up from just outside Watlington for the drive to Henley Town Hall where they were married with a small gathering of friends and family. Newlyweds and guests then were driven to the Sir Charles Napier near Chinnor for a celebratory lunch.
