Weddings in Windsor, Cotswolds and Quainton

Some photos from Charlie and Rob's wedding at the Guildhall Windsor. After photos at the Long Walk we drove them in the Silver Grey Jag to the Olde Bell Hurley for their reception.

Meanwhile the Daimler was in the cotswolds for Rachel and Ben's wedding at St Andrew's church in Kingham. Their reception was at Merriscourt near Sarsden,

Last but not least, the maroon Morse Jag was at the Bucks Railway Centre where Holly and George were married. They held their reception at Hastoe Village Hall.

3 Cars, 2 Henley Weddings

The cars were local this weekend. The Silver Grey Jaguar MK2 and White Daimler picked the Bridal party for Anne Maria and Andrew's wedding from Danesfield House for their wedding at Sacred Heart Church. Their reception was held at Old Luxters after a photo stop in the picturesque village of Hambleden.

The Maroon "Morse" Jaguar was at Holy Trinity Church where Emma and Stuart were married. They then drove over to Eversley for the reception at Warbrook House.

Three cats on the loose

We had a busy Saturday this weekend with three cars out on wedding services.
The Silver Grey Jaguar MK2 was in Surrey for Katharine and Stephen's wedding in South Ascot. We picked Katharine and her Father up from a very nice house they rented for the occasion in Windlesham. After photos back at the house we drove them to Bluebells in Sunningdale for the reception.

Over in Great Milton Laura and David were getting married at St Mary's church. The Old English White Daimler took them to their reception at The Crazy Bear Stadhampton.

Finally in Henley the Regency Red Jaguar MK2 was in attendance for Linda and Javier's wedding at the Sacred Heart Church in the town. They were then driven to the riverside to pick up a boat for their reception.

Four Weddings and ...an Evening Run

All three cars were busy this weekend. The Silver Grey MK2 was in Oxford for Tim and Deborah's wedding at Harris Manchester College. Deborah stayed the night before at the Coach and Horses B&B on St Clements, Oxford. We have picked up twice from there this year, the lady who runs it is always charming making sure she has photos of the bride with the car for her Facebook page.

In Henley the Old English White Daimler had collected bride to be Anna from the Crowne Plaza in Caversham for her wedding to Ross in Henley. The couple held their reception at nearby Shiplake College. The Daimler returned in the evening to take them back to Caversham.

The Morse Jag had two outings, the first for John and Debbie who were married at Wallingford Town Hall and held their reception at Cholsey Pavilion. Lisa and Rich tied the knot in Dorchester Abbey followed by their reception at Lains Barn.

A Real Morse in our Jag

Morse
Our Morse look-a-like Jaguar was booked by bride Catherine as a surprise for her husband to be Peter for their wedding in Henley. Catherine was very specific about the car she wanted as Peter's surname is Morse and he is a fan of the TV series. We picked Catherine up from Danesfield House Hotel near Marlow. The wedding was held at the hidden Holy Trinity Church in Henley then it was back to Danesfield with a happy Peter for the reception.

Deja vu
Only two weeks after our last visit we were back at Barton House and Lain's Barn, this time in the Daimler for Ruth and Martin's wedding. The family stayed at Barton House which is very close to the barn. I got to see a bit more of the inside this time. It is definitely worthy of being on the list for anyone looking for exclusive use accommodation in the Wantage area. After dressing cars in Ruth's choice of Burgundy ribbons we drove to St Margaret's Church in Stratton St Margaret near Swindon for the wedding. Their reception was held at Lain's Barn.

Boat Transfer
The Silver Grey MK2 was also working at the weekend providing transport for Judith and Ian's wedding in Warborough. The Jag made several trips from nearby Shillingford and Wallingford to take the wedding party and Bride to St Laurence's Church. After photos we drove the newlyweds to Cleeve Lock near Streatley where they picked up a boat to take them to the reception.

Weekend of Weddings

A busy weekend started on Friday with Michael and Kathryn's wedding in Marlow. They booked the Jaguar for the Bridal car and the Daimler for the Bridesmaids. The location made for some nice pictures as did the reception venue, Bix Manor.

Then onto Saturday. The Daimler was in Oxford at Oriel College for Alex and Paul's wedding who held their reception at the family home in Headington. The Jaguar was in Kidmore End for Naval Groom Adam's marriage to Katharine. Maintaining a nautical theme we dropped them off at Leander in Henley where they made the last leg of the journey to their reception at Temple Island by boat. Last but no means least the Morse Jag was also in Henley for Phil and Holly's wedding in the Town Hall. They then traveled to the Crooked Billet in Stoke Row for their reception.

African Safari Honeymoon

Charlotte and Tom were married at the local church to the family home in Midgham, Berkshire this weekend.

Charlotte's father Steve who is a Jaguar fan and drives an XK8, booked our Silver Grey Jaguar MK2 for the occasion. After the ceremony at the village church we drove them back to Steve's house where the reception was held in a large and beautifully decorated marquee in the garden.

The Jaguar returned later in the evening to take the newlyweds to their hotel in Reading where they spent the night before leaving on their honeymoon the next day. Charlotte's parents provided some suitably themed cushions and car rugs for the journey to Reading.

On Sunday afternoon the Jag collected Charlotte and Tom from their hotel and drove them to Heathrow to catch their flight to South Africa.

In the meantime the Daimler and Morse look-alike Jaguar MK2 provided transport for Mikala and James' wedding in Crowmarsh Gifford. Unfortunately badly timed downpours restricted photo opportunities.

Wallingford Vehicle Rally & Parade

Two of our vehicles were at the Wallingford Rally and Parade yesterday. This charity fund raising event saw 250 classic vehicles gather at a sports ground just outside Wallingford before departing on a vehicle parade around the town. Local residents were out in force to wave to the parade as it passed. The parade reached Kinecroft Park where the cars formed a show for attendees. As well as the vast range of classic vehicles ranging from enormous American gas guzzlers to Vespa scooters they were entertained by various stalls, displays by the emergency services and car rides. Last year the event raised £7,000.
