Natalie and Peter's Wedding

The Silver Grey Jag and White Daimler were on their last outing this Year for Natalie and Peter's wedding in Taplow. Their reception was held at Hedsor House, used frequently as a location for films and TV,  and after a couple of nights at nearby Cliveden House the couple honeymooned in the Maldives.

The cars start the new season in March.

Hambleden Wedding

A local wedding this weekend in the pretty village of Hambleden. This village is frequently used as a movie set and is now the location where Francesca married Chris in the village church.
We drove Francesca and her father from the family home in Sonning Common while the sun shone on this lovely late summer day. After the ceremony and photos it was a chilled glass of champagne and a drive to Old Luxters where the reception was held.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Pond Wedding

Despite three weddings this weekend it wasn't very good for photo opportunities. We did however get a nice snap of Imogen and Rory at the pond in Russells Water where CCBB was filmed. Imogen's father was a child extra in the film and the location of their reception, the Five Horse Shoes in Maidensgrove, was close by. They were married at Henley Register Office.

Our Jag in Art Film

As well as providing wedding transport this weekend our Jaguar MK2 has been making an appearance in an Art Movie produced for Brockman's Gin

The Jag in an alley close to Tower Bridge
The film is shot in black & white with a sinister feel and unusual characters throughout. The Jaguar features in a number of scenes relating to what appears to be the kidnapping of a young man by a group of gangsters. He is driven through the dark iconic streets of London to a shadowy warehouse to meet his fate.

Gangster boss Laurence stands in the shadows outside the warehouse
We spent two nights around Tower Bridge and at a Studio in North West London finishing in the early hours only to rise again early to prep the Jag for Katie and Henk's wedding in Wargrave.

The film should be on Brockman's web site and YouTube around November time and we will be adding a link to it from our web site. You can see some behind the scenes pictures on Brockman's Blog.

One of our Jaguars Makes a Cameo Appearance in Endeavour Episode

The first episode of the new series of Endeavour set in the 1960s and the prequal to the much loved Inspector Morse series aired this Sunday on ITV.

In the first scene, which is an aerial shot of Broad Street in Oxford, our Morse look-a-like Jaguar MK2 can be spotted as one of two Jaguar MK2s resembling the original Morse Jaguar that were used in the scene. These little teasers are dropped in by the producers from time to time. For example the original Morse Jaguar made an appearance in the pilot episode of Endeavour, it was for sale in a second hand car lot visited by the young Morse as part of his investigation. Another regular is author of the Morse books, Colin Dextor. He often makes cameo appearances in the Morse, Lewis (the spin off series after Morse died) and Endeavour series.

This car belongs to a musician friend of ours and is available for weddings through Henley Classic Car Hire. George the owner of the car was approached via the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club by the production company who were looking for cars similar to the original Morse Jaguar. In the original Morse series the Jag was driven by John Thaw who played Inspector Morse.
