Winkfield Wedding

The Daimler and Jaguar made their first visit to St Mary's church Winkfield this weekend for Jenny and Dan's marriage. (This is a good church if you are a campanologist, after ringing the bells as the bride arrived they retreated to the pub opposite until emerging 35 minutes later for the post ceremony ringing.) We picked Jenny, her father and bridesmaids up from Phyllis Court Henley for the 30 minute drive to Winkfield. A coach was provided for the guests. After the ceremony everyone returned to Phyllis Court for the reception in the newly rebuilt riverside pavilion.

Weddings in Highclere, Blenheim Palace and Witney

High mileage weekend this week. Sarah & Stuart were married at St Thomas' Woolton Hill near Highclere and booked the Jag to take them to Lains Barn for their reception. Tanwa and Tim were married at Blenheim Palace and traveled in the Daimler and on Sunday we picked up Charlotte in the Jag from the pretty village of Howell near Burford to take her to Caswell House and Barn for her marriage to Andrew.

Charity Car Run to Williams F1 Team Headquarters

We took the Jag on the 2014 "Bidgood Rally" which is a bi-annual classic car run for charity. This time around 30 vehicles met at Britwell Salome for coffee before leaving on a 25 mile drive through Oxfordshire to Grove, home to the Williams F1 Team. After a look around their museum and collection of cars up to the 2012 car Maldanado drove, we were back in the cars to return to Britwell Salome for a picnic lunch and ice cream from Daisy's vintage ice cream van. We managed to raise £3,300 for the Spinal Injuries Association and McMillan Cancer Care.

Keble College Oxford & Blenheim Palace

We often provide our cars for weddings at the Oxford Colleges but this was the first time at Keble. What an amazing place to tie the knot as Clare and Egon did this weekend. We picked up bride Clare, bridesmaids and family from Woodstock in the Jaguar and Daimler for the journey into Oxford. After photos in the quad the cars and Nostalgia Travel's Routemaster bus drove everyone to Blenheim Palace for the reception. Here are some pictures from the day.

Some Pictures from this Week's Weddings

The Jag was the car of choice this week. First on Thursday it picked Suzannah up from Notley Abbey to drive her to Dorchester Abbey for her marriage to Tom. Their reception was held at Notley Abbey.

Then on Saturday we were in Buckinghamshire for Chris and Hannah's wedding at Little Missenden church. Their reception was at Monkton Barn near Marlow.

Cars That Sell Themselves

Groom Chris regularly passes our base and admired the Daimler parked outside so when he was planning his wedding to Natalie he knocked on our door to see if it was available. It was and he booked it for their wedding in Wantage at St Mary's church. A drive round the lanes of Radnage followed before arriving at the Three Horseshoes for the reception.

Later in the weekend the Daimler was in Oxford for Laura and F1 racing car designer Philip's wedding in Old Headington. Their reception was at Poundon House near Bicester.

Meanwhile the Jag was in Wallingford where Emma and Matt tied the knot at the Town Hall. The reception was at Brightwell Vineyard near Shillingford bridge.

Hottest Day of the Year at Caswell House and Barn

Catherine and Glen booked our 1962 Jaguar MK2 for their wedding at Greyfriars Church in scorching Reading this weekend. Following the ceremony we drove across beautiful Oxfordshire countryside to Caswell House and Barn near Witney.

Vintage Look for London Wedding

The Jaguar was in a very hot London this weekend. We picked up Bride Jane from Tuffnell Park for her wedding in nearby Islington, then drove the newlyweds to their reception at the Prince Albert in Camden. The couple chose not to have the car dressed in the usual ribbons which I think was a good choice for a wedding in town.
